Communication with Coaches

Parents/Guardians,Just a few friendly reminders pertaining to communication with coaches.1. Please do not approach a coach before/during/after practice or a game. If you are upset, please use the 24 hour rule before calling or sending an email to a coach. This practice helps keep both parties safe and level headed. If the situation needs immediate attention please inform a member of our game personnel (if at a game) or the athletic office or principal if at a practice. (Playing time does not require immediate attention)2. Email is the best way to communicate. This helps eliminate the he said, she said issue. If you do not get a response within 24 hours (not counting weekends), please contact the athletic office.3. Encourage your son/daughter to communicate with their coach first. If they need assistance on how to explain a situation or speak to a coach, have them stop by the athletic office. We are here to help! This helps resolve 95

Academic Eligibility for non BASD in-person or virtual students

Parents,
Per PIAA and BASD policies, we need to run academic eligibility weekly for our student-athletes. All students must be passing 4.0 credits.
Any student who is not attending BASD in-person or via BASD Virtual must submit their current grades by noon on Thursdays of each week or the student will be ineligible for the following week.
Senior high athletes – grades must be submitted to the athletic office – merb@boyertownasd.org
Middle school athletes – grades should be sent to the appropriate assistant principal
East – emarsch@boyertownasd.org
West – dschmaldienst@boyertownasd.org
Students who need to provide grades are the following:
Homeschooled
BCTC (for classes taken there)
BOL
Any charter or cyber charter student
It is the responsibility of the parent and student to submit grades. Not the cooperating school or coach!
